An Update and Plans For 2017
I’ve been a little quiet on the blog recently so I just wanted to write a more personal post to share some updates with you and plans for the future!
Those of you who follow my daily posts on Twitter and Instagram will know that I am in the very final stages of my PhD, finally!! I have just 8 weeks left to complete all corrections, redrafts and reformatting before I submit, so things are getting a little hectic! I’m spending all day and all night, weekday and weekend, sat at my desk trying to finish off and so unfortunately blogging has had to take a back seat for a little while. I’m also applying for jobs as a Medical Writer for when I break out into the real world, so pretty much all of my spare time is taken up with writing cover letters and preparing for interviews (Lots of you have been getting in contact asking me about Medical writing and what it is and what to wear for non-academic interviews, I’ll be writing posts all about it and the interview process once I get a job!).
Just wanted to let you all know that I’m still here and that The Scientific Beauty isn’t going anywhere; I hope to be back to full blogging force very soon and I already have lots of exciting product reviews and posts planned! If you really miss your dose of scientific beauty I have taken up a freelance writing role writing ingredient breakdowns which I’ll be sharing across my social media when my posts get published. I’ve had requests for fashion posts too so I’ll hopefully be introducing a few more style pieces, let me know if there’s anything you would like to see!
To find out what it’s like finishing off a PhD and starting out in a new career, or if you just want to keep up with my latest style posts and fashion purchases that I’m buying for my blow-out, end of PhD France roadtrip (SO excited!) then come and say hi on social media, I always love to hear from you 🙂
